West Catholic HS Heads To Pa. State Championships
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The student body at West Catholic High School attended a pep rally this afternoon to cheer on the school’s varsity football team as they get ready to play in state championships in Hershey, Pa. tomorrow.
The Burrs won a record-setting five consecutive Philadelphia Catholic League titles. The team normally practices in Yeadon, at a field that is only 90 yards long. Their home field for games is Widener University.
They’ve been practicing this past month at two other Catholic high schools in Delaware County.
Despite having no field to call their own, senior Jim Lynch says the team has plenty of drive and he is proud to be a member of the team.
