Mayor Nutter Irked That Phillies Aren’t Getting Prime TV Time

Mayor Nutter says the Phillies are getting short shrift because tonight’s game has a 5:07 PM start time. He says the team deserves prime time and he is “irritated.”

Nutter says the Major League Baseball commissioner’s office seems to be favoring the Yankees, whose game starts later:

“I do understand that they’re the current World Series champion. But they’re also the wildcard team in the American League. The Philadelphia Phillies have the best record in the major leagues, and it seems to me that they should be on in prime time so that the rest of the country can see the best team in baseball.”
