Manuel Makes It Official: Halladay, Oswalt, Hamels For NLCS Games 1-3

CHERRY HILL, NJ (CBS) — It was a special playoff edition of the Charlie Manuel radio show this morning on our sister station, 610 WIP Sportsradio. And the Phillies’ manager (above) even broke a little news on his show.

For the first time, Charlie Manuel publicly announced what everyone in the baseball world assumed: that Roy Halladay would start Saturday’s game one of the National League Championship Series. Roy Oswalt will start game two, Cole Hamels in game three, and in all likelihood Joe Blanton in game four.

A few dozen fans turned out at Ponzio’s Diner in Cherry Hill, NJ to see WIP’s Charlie Manuel Show in person. Among them was RJ Gauld of Haddon Township:
