Philly, Ed Snider Foundation To Renovate 5 Skating Rinks
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The city and Ed Snider’s youth hockey foundation are going halves on a more than $12-million dollar project to revitalize Philadelphia’s municipal ice rinks.
Work will be done on five rinks throughout the city. Chairman of Comcast-Spectacor Ed Snider says three of them, which are currently outdoor rinks, will be enclosed and two others will be remodeled.
“Rinks will be available all year round for the children in these communities. They’ll be heated, state-of-the-art,” Snider said.
