Oversized Bust Of Dr. Martin Luther King Unveiled In Chester
CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) – More than a hundred people turned out in a Chester (Delaware County) park on Thursday to unveil a huge bust of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., an honor that took about a decade to plan and create.
More than a half-million dollars in community development funds were used to create the five-foot-tall granite bust and the small gated, illuminated park that surrounds it.
King family friend Dr. William Brown suggested what the civil rights leader might do if he were alive today:
