Philadelphia Democrats Nominate Nutter For Second Term As Mayor
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Incumbent Philadelphia mayor Michael Nutter had an easy victory tonight in the Democratic primary election, but not without a bit of a sweat raised by challenger Milton Street.
With 34 percent of precincts counted across the City of Philadelphia, Nutter held a lead of 74 percent to 26 percent against Street, a onetime Philadelphia councilman, Pennsylvania state representative and senator, and later a felon convicted of tax crimes.
