The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is cracking down on the registration status of different brews at taverns in the city. Breweries are required to pay a $75 registration fee for each variety of beer they produce. The LCB alleges that not everyone is following the rules.
But beer producers says it's all a matter of misunderstanding. Long, convoluted names of beers are often not the same in the record books as they are at the tap, typos are also a problem, and they say that's causing confusion.
