Arbitrator Overturns Punishments of Phila. Cops Involved in Violent Arrest
Philadelphia police officials say six officers fired or disciplined following the violent videotaped arrest of three shooting suspects in May of 2008 will have their penalties lifted as the result of an abritator's ruling.
Philadelphia police union president John McNesby insisted all along that the officers acted properly. They were cleared by a grand jury last year, which found that the arresting officers used the amount of force necessary.
