Philadelphia Dentist, Daughter Charged With $5-Million Insurance Fraud
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A Philadelphia dentist and his daughter are charged with submitting nearly $5 million in fraudulent claims to insurance companies for a procedure to relieve chronic pain in patients.
But a grand jury investigation found the treatment wasn’t anywhere close to what they said it was.
Philadelphia district attorney Seth Williams says a Philadelphia grand jury returned recommendations for theft, fraud, and related charges against 71-year-old Dr. Owen Rogal of center city and his daughter, 50-year-old Kim Rogal.
