Corbett, State Lawmakers Discuss Future Of Chester-Upland School District
NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – Several members of the Delaware County legislative delegation in Harrisburg met Monday with Governor Tom Corbett to talk about the ongoing financial crisis in the Chester-Upland School District.
The short-term goal here is to find a way to keep the district running until the end of this school year. The district was given a $3.2-million infusion of cash earlier this month to help them make payroll until mid-February.
