‘For Pete’s Sake’ Family Fun Walk Benefits Cancer Patients Across The Delaware Valley

Kathleen Kulp, a mother of two was diagnosed with leukemia in Feb 2010 traveled to Davenport, Florida and stayed at a house owned by For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation.

NORTH WALES, Pa. (CBS) – On Sunday, April 10, families and friends will take part in the new ‘For Pete’s Sake, Walk,’ a two-mile fun walk at Citizens Bank Park benefiting cancer patients and their families.

The walk is hosted by For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation, which provides week-long getaways for cancer patients and their families living in the Delaware Valley.

“The new For Pete’s Sake, Walk! at Citizens Bank Park is more than just a walk,” said Marci Schankweiler, Founder, For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation. “It celebrates the strength and courage of the many individuals and families dealing with the trauma that accompanies a cancer diagnosis. Through this event, we hope to raise funds to give even more individuals the rare chance to take a break from cancer.”
