Soldier Who Grew Up In New Jersey Killed In Afghanistan
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) – A soldier who grew up in New Jersey has been killed in combat in Afghanistan.
The Department of Defense said 26-year-old Sgt. Keith Buzinski died April 7 of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire in Logar Province.
The Times of Trenton reports that Buzinski was born in Trenton and grew up in Hamilton Township before moving with his family to Daytona Beach, Fla., several years ago.
Buzinski was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, home-based at Fort Drum, N.Y.
