Flyers Even Series With 5-4 Win Over Sabres
PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Ville Leino and Danny Briere scored clutch goals, goaltender Brian Boucher delivered again in the postseason and the Philadelphia Flyers outlasted the Buffalo Sabres 5-4 in Game 2 of their first-round series on Saturday night.
With the series now tied, the teams shift to Buffalo for Monday’s Game 3.
Boucher, one of many unlikely playoff stars when the Flyers orchestrated a surprising run to the Stanley Cup Finals last season, relieved Sergei Bobrovsky after the rookie allowed three goals on seven shots.
