Marcus and Markieff Morris
LAWRENCE, Kan., April 7 (UPI) -- Twin brothers Marcus and Markieff Morris announced Thursday they would leave the University of Kansas to enter the 2011 NBA draft.
They combined to average more than 33 points and 15 rebounds per game this season and took the Jayhawks to the Southwest Region finals before they were shocked by Virginia Commonwealth.
Since both players have hired an agent, they will be ineligible to return to college basketball even if they become dissatisfied with their draft position.
Marcus Morris scored 17.2 points and grabbed 7.6 rebounds per contest. Markieff Morris produced an average of 13.6 points and 8.3 boards in addition to blocking 43 shots.
Kansas went 35-3 this season, capturing both the Big 12 regular-season and conference tournament titles.
