Philly Christian Group Uses Easter As Chance To Feed Less Fortunate

  

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — As many Christians around the Delaware Valley sit down to a festive Easter dinner, one local group is making sure there is a place at the holiday table for some of those in need.

Reverend Brian Jenkins with Chosen 300 Ministries says it’s their mission to serve the homeless and less fortunate through out the year, but on Easter Sunday they try even harder to follow Christ’s mission.

“He came to preach the gospel to the poor, and often times those are the ones that are pushed aside, not welcome, and especially on a Sunday like this when everybody comes in their Sunday best, this is a place where they can come just as they are,” he said.
