George Washington Carver HS Students Honor The Life Of Student Who Died From Bacterial Meningitis
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A North Philadelphia school
community is mourning the loss of a student who died from bacterial
meningitis. Tonight, parents are gathering at the high school for a
meeting to discuss the illness.
There were dozen of balloons floating upward to remember the
life of a freshman at George Washington Carver High School, who died
Tuesday due to complications from bacterial meningitis.
Friends say the 15-year-old was a rising sports star with a
big smile and a great personality. “He was a good person. He was big and
kind and gentle,” said one of his classmates.
It was the students themselves that asked for the tribute. Friends
and fellow classmates came together, displaying a silver lining in this
tragic death.
