Fans Can Expect Tighter Security At Future Eagles Game
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – You can count on Eagles fans to bring the excitement at Sunday’s home opener against the Giants. This year, there is something else you can expect – enhanced pat-downs.
“When the guest comes to the stadium, they’re used to the traditional pat-down from the waist up,” said Leonard Bonacci, the director of event operations. “This will also include the lower half of the body starting at the ankle. It won’t be as intrusive as airport screening, but you’ll see a little difference.”
Bonacci says the new security measures have nothing to do with YouTube video from two weeks ago which shows a brawl that broke out at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. after someone brought a stun gun to the game.
