Black Journalists’ Group Holds National Convention This Week In Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Thousands of journalists from all over North America will be in Philadelphia this week for the annual convention of the National Association of Black Journalists.
The NABJ was started in Philadelphia in 1975, so Philadelphia, as the founding city and this year’s host city for the convention and career fair, is really putting on the show.
“We’ll be here from August 3rd to the 7th with a variety of activities and community events. We’ll be bringing newsmakers like Arianna Huffington and Eric Holder. We’ll also be bringing entertainers like Terrence Howard and Eric Benet,” says Deirdre Childress, the NABJ’s vice president for print.
