University Of Penn Museum Commemorates Sept. 11 Anniversary With New Exhibit
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The University of Penn Museum is commemorating the upcoming 10th anniversary of September 11th with a unique exhibit – opening today – of artifacts from ground zero.
“Excavating Ground Zero – Fragments of 9/11” holds 15 precious objects found in the rubble of the Twin Towers. Visitors badges, someone’s eyeglasses, a doll, pages out of a dictionary. Richard Hodges, the Williams director of the museum, says looking at ground zero through the personal items found there tells a different story about the events of that historic day.
