Rep Kenyatta J. Johnson: Phila. City Council Run By Van Stone vspfoundation@yahoo.com (215) 469-1902

State Representative Kenyatta J. Johnson
There are many PA State Reps, true, but when it comes to which are serving Philly, Rep. Kenyatta J. Johnson advances the ultimate source of State Rep. ideas. In 2011 State Rep. Kenyatta J. Johnson has announced his candidacy for Philadelphia City Council.
Rep. Johnson’s commitment to public service began in the community some 15 years before being elected to office. While attending Mansfield University, “I recognized that I could use the political process to improve the quality of life for those of us who live in urban neighborhoods,” says Johnson.
In his first year in office Rep. Johnson worked on increasing funding for programs.
“Whether creating organizations like Peace Not Guns that has helped over 1500 young people address issues of anger management and conflict resolution or serving in the office of State Senator Anthony Hardy Williams as his Public Safety Liaison; I have sought to make government work for you - first and foremost, as a community advocate,” Johnson says
State Rep. Kenyatta Johnson has the know-how to completely fulfill the position of a Councilperson for the 2ndCouncil District. According to Rep. Johnson he is running to “create gun free play zones, to establish clean streets, green infrastructures and enhance neighborhood beautification." And he list other changes to come such as ensuring job growth and employment opportunities for residents, to support opportunities for small businesses to grow, and to ensure that the tax structure is one that benefits all Philadelphians. “I will address the issue of safe schools, he says, “by creating a district wide Anti Bullying Initiative letting our youth know that all students have a right to be safe!”
Thus far, I am incredibly impressed with State Rep. Kenyatta’s advancements for the neighborhoods he serves and the State of Pennsylvania as a whole. “The titles may change but the mission will remain the same which is to serve people,” he said.
I can admire still a real legislator that is needed to help deal with issues in tough areas of Philly such as parts of Southwest Philadelphia, South Philadelphia and other parts of Philadelphia County.
