NCAA Bracket 2011 Prediction: Marcus and Markieff Morris Guarantee Kansas Title?
Kansas Jayhawks, led by Marcus and Markieff Morris, have Good Path to Title
The two junior twin brothers out of Philadelphia have led the Kansas Jayhawks to a 32-2 record, good for a top seed in the league. Their only losses came to Texas and Kansas State, so they should have an easy path to the Final Four, right?
Actually, the Southwest division is not overly tough. UNLV or Illinois should be easy pickings, Vanderbilt is ripe for an upset, and Louisville doesn't seem to have it to me. That almost guarantees an elite eight appearance, but as we all know, there are no guarantees.
Having the Morris twins are about as close as Kansas will get. Marcus is averaging 17 and 7 a game, while Markieff contributes 13.6 and 8. Both have kept a lock on the Big 12 Conference, and both have clearly shown that they have what it takes down the stretch on the offensive and defensive ends.
There's one key that they need to grab hold of: they can't allow last year's early exit to cloud their mind. They are one of the top teams in the league, and they can't let an early exit cause a second one.
University of Northern Colorado Head Coach B.J. Hill has written an article on being a potential cinderella team. Find out what he has to say here. A bracket for March Madness can also be printed here. For all the latest on the Tournament, see here.
