Pa. Regulators Pleased With Switch Rate Among Peco Customers
HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) says nearly seven percent of Peco’s residential customers have opted to switch suppliers now that electric rate caps have expired.
PUC spokeswoman Jennifer Kocher says that overall — including both business and residential customers — about 9.4 percent of Peco customers, representing about 40 percent of the utility’s load, have switched suppliers.
For residential customers only, it comes to 6.8 percent, which Kocher says is tops among the four Pennsylvania utilities whose rate caps expired on the first of the year.
