New Jersey Governor Says Medical Marijuana Law Can Go Forward
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Gov. Chris Christie said he will allow the state to begin dispensing medical marijuana despite his concern over whether federal authorities could prosecute state regulators.
New Jersey legalized marijuana for patients with certain conditions last year as Gov. Jon Corzine was leaving office. But the law’s implementation was delayed as the state labored over regulatory details.
