Father, 2 Social Workers Found Guilty In Danieal Kelly Starvation Death Case

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia jury has found a father and two social service agency workers guilty in connection to the neglect and starvation death of Danieal Kelly, 14, who weighed just 42 lbs. when she died. All three defendants had pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutor Jennifer Selber told the jury Daniel Kelly was a cruel, abusive and neglectful father who did not want to care for his profoundly disabled daughter and ultimately abandoned her to her unfit mother. A mother who watched Danieal die.
