Hero Thrill Show Crowd Treated to Beautiful Day
The parking lot at the Wells Fargo Center was filled with
roaring motorcycles and several special police units, like
the K-9 team, for cheering crowds this afternoon.
KYW’s Mike Dougherty reports from the 56th annual Hero Thrill Show.
“It doesn’t take much to come out here to say hi to people, and you know, put a smile on someone’s face.”
Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino was just one of thousands who turned out to support the families of those who lost loved ones in the line of duty.
Event organizer Jimmy Binns says the purpose of The Hero Thrill Show’s is to put children of fallen or injured Philadelphia police and firefighters through college:
