PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Sixers are hot, winners of four straight games, all on the road. The guy leading the charge is a player who just two weeks ago was rumored to have requested a trade from the team; Thaddeus Young.
Young, the team’s elder statesman even though he’s just 25 years old, was named the NBA’s Eastern Conference Player of The Week on Monday.
The Sixers went 3-0 during the week, including a win over one of the league’s best teams, the Portland Trailblazers. Young averaged 25 points, just under eight rebounds, three assists and four steals in the three wins.
