PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – One of the Martin Luther King Day events taking place Monday was a rally and safety walk against gun violence in Southwest Philadelphia.
Philadelphia City Councilman Kenyatta Johnson called for the rally after two men were murdered within minutes and blocks of each other, in separate incidents last Friday.
One of the speakers, Tracy Fisher, said it’s time to speak out about the guns, drugs and murders in the community. He says there’s too many people turning a blind eye:
