Bill Marimow Out As Editor Of Philadelphia Inquirer

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — There’s been another shake-up at the Philadelphia Inquirer. Publisher Bob Hall says he’s fired the editor.
This is the second time Bill Marimow has been fired from the Inquirer. The two-time Pulitzer winner was fired by the
hedge funds
who got the paper in bankruptcy, in 2010, but was brought back, last
year when the paper again changed hands. At the time, the new owners
called him “the most respected journalist in the nation” and “the best
in the business,” but in the last several months, there have been
reports that Marimow is at the center of a power struggle between
factions of the ownership group, with South Jersey democratic party
leader George Norcross on one side, wanting Marimow out, and parking
magnate Lew Katz and philanthropist Jerry Lenfest on the other,
supporting his leadership.
