Officials Roll Out Big Changes To Philadelphia’s Delaware River Waterfront This Summer

 

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia’s Delaware River waterfront is getting a summer makeover.
The wintertime ice rink, at Spruce Street Harbor Park, is being transformed into a summertime roller rink. 

But that’s not the only big change taking place.

“An extended boardwalk with a new family entertainment area.  The return of the Oasis — three floating barges featuring a net lounge, water gardens, colorful seating, and a new conceptualized restaurant and bar.  And of course, more hammocks and more seating,” notes Tom Corcoran, with the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation.
